Developers from Red Barrels have released a major update for The Outlast Trials titled Project Breach. The creators also unveiled a new gameplay trailer and shared details about the update.

Features of the Project Breach Update:

  • Launch of the second season of The Outlast Trials;
  • New trial area — Downtown;
  • New enemy — The Pitcher;
  • New character — Amelia Collier. She is an escaped Reagent hiding during the Project Breach trial;
  • Three new challenges;
  • New Deluxe Catalog;
  • New limited-time event — Winter Kills;
  • New equipment — a universal tool designed to disable electronic devices, unlock locked containers, and doors;
  • New boosters: Evasion, Short Circuit, and Bandage Expert;
  • Increased maximum therapy level;
  • New customization types;
  • Enhanced psychosis;
  • Improved escalation therapy;
  • Various fixes.

"Set within the latest Outlast Trials environment, DOWNTOWN, players will be tasked with turning Franco's devious cabaret against itself", — the update description states.

The Outlast Trials is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. The game has 93% positive reviews on Steam. By the way, it's currently available at a 50% discount (valid until December 19) for $20.
