Now PC players can also try Sonic Unleashed without buying a console. A team of enthusiasts adapted the project for the new platform, but the original game files will still be needed.
The Unleashed Recompiled project is not only an unofficial port to PC, but also provides many improvements. These include high-quality effects, improved motion blur, "Alpha to Coverage" Anti-Aliasing support, a bicubic texture filtering option, a frame rate of up to 60 FPS, and support for ultra-wide monitors. The project also provides mod support.
You can download Unleashed Recompiled from the link to GitHub, where you can also find installation instructions. There are no game files in the distribution, so you will need a copy of Sonic Unleashed.
Recall that the original Sonic Unleashed was released back in 2008. Officially, the game is only available on PS2, Wii, PS3 and Xbox 360 consoles.
Earlier, a reputable insider reported which Xbox games could be ported to PlayStation 5 in the near future.
