How to Defeat Balahara Boss in Monster Hunter Wilds

Amidst the endless sands of Monster Hunter Wilds dwells a majestic and dangerous creature, capable of slicing through dunes like a whale in the ocean. This guide will help players understand how to battle the mighty desert lord and emerge victorious from the fight.
How to defeat the Balahara boss
Balahara is a snake-like four-legged Leviathan with a flexible body covered in scales and a three-part glowing maw. Its long tail, resembling a drill, allows it to move swiftly under the sand and create quicksand traps. The monster predominantly inhabits the Windy Plains.
Main attacks of Balahara
- Tail strike: The serpent uses its tail to deliver powerful blows.
- Slime spit: The monster spits a slimy ball that deals damage and slows the hunter and stamina recovery.
- Quicksand: Balahara creates sand traps that slow the hunter and can lead to immobilization.
- Jump attack: The creature leaps out of the sand, dealing damage to anyone nearby.
- Bite: The beast uses its powerful maw to deal damage in close combat.
- Tail spin: The monster spins around its axis, dealing damage to anyone nearby.
Battle tactics
In the battle with the Leviathan, effectively combine melee and ranged weapons. This monster is extremely vulnerable to electric attacks. Its weakest spots are its glowing maw, head, and tail. We recommend first stunning the creature and then severing its tail.
If the giant hides under the sand, use sonic bombs to force it to surface. After the victory, you will be able to collect materials to create powerful water weapons, as well as armor and talismans that provide protection from slowing and water attacks.
