In Monster Hunter Wilds, players will encounter a unique monster — a four-legged spider known for its incredible agility. With our guide, you'll learn how to exploit its weaknesses and emerge victorious from the battle.
How to defeat the Lala Barina boss
Lala Barina is a giant arachnid creature inhabiting the Scarlet Forest and Wyverian Ruins. Her abdomen is covered with red bristles resembling flower petals. These bristles secrete a poison that paralyzes anything that touches them. The danger of this monster lies in its maneuverability and the difficulty of hitting it due to its long legs and elongated body.
Main attacks of Lala Barina
- Three-step maneuver: Lala moves forward, taking three steps with turns.
- Side paw strike: Using one of her front legs, the spider delivers a side blow.
- Bite: Barina suddenly thrusts her head forward and bites the target.
- Charged attack: The monster retreats, pauses, and then swiftly lunges forward, using its head and front legs to deal damage.
- Back leg strike: The creature uses one of its hind legs to strike a target behind it.
- Paw jab: The spider raises one of its legs to head level and delivers a direct strike. Then repeats this action with the other leg.
- Petal rain: Lala shakes her entire body, releasing numerous petals that slowly descend to the ground. If the hunter gets caught in this rain, they may be paralyzed.
- Stinger strike: The creature extends its stinger and strikes at targets behind it. This strike can be performed twice in a row.
- Double back leg strike: The predator raises both hind legs and forcefully brings them down, delivering a powerful blow. After this attack, she remains motionless for a few seconds, giving hunters an opportunity to counterattack.
- Web creation: Lala can hang on a web, releasing petals over a large distance. In this position, she can also perform rotational attacks.
Battle tactics
For effective hunting of the spider, it is recommended to use ranged weapons to minimize the risk of getting hit by her attacks. The monster is extremely vulnerable to fire attacks due to its fur. During pauses, deliver quick piercing strikes, such as with blades.
The main weak points are the head, petals, and tail, which should be targeted for maximum damage. Blunt weapons are effective for stunning, while cutting weapons are for tail severing. After a successful hunt, you will receive materials to create unique weapons with a paralysis effect and armor that enhances fire damage and increases paralysis resistance.
