AMD has officially announced the date for its upcoming RDNA4-based graphics card launch. The event, set for February 28 at 4:00 PM Moscow time, will provide a comprehensive look at the new Radeon RX 9070 lineup. The presentation will be streamed live on AMD’s official YouTube channel.
According to David McAfee, AMD’s Corporate Vice President, the RDNA4 architecture is a major step forward and deserves special attention. The event will showcase full specifications, pricing, and performance benchmarks that were not previously disclosed at CES 2025.
Interestingly, AMD’s announcement coincides with recent news from NVIDIA, which has confirmed the launch dates for its RTX 5070 series graphics cards. Industry experts speculate that AMD strategically timed its reveal to highlight the competitiveness of its new lineup. Moreover, the company has even revised its naming scheme to better align with NVIDIA’s product lineup.
The Radeon RX 9070 series is expected to hit the market in early March, putting AMD in direct competition with NVIDIA for the attention of gamers and professionals. Expectations are already high, especially since AMD has kept RDNA4 details tightly under wraps. Now, all eyes are on February 28 to see whether AMD can deliver a compelling alternative to NVIDIA’s offerings.
