The Abyss Break announced — a co-op extraction horror about traveling to other worlds

Kazakhstan-based LNJ Studio has announced The Abyss Break, a co-op extraction horror game. The developers have already released a debut gameplay trailer and launched a Steam page for the project.

The game’s story revolves around the Great Expansion—a mysterious catastrophe that has opened portals to dangerous parallel worlds. To save their own reality, players must explore these foreign lands and complete various missions.

During gameplay, players will gather valuable resources and fight hostile NPCs. Key features of The Abyss Break include a "living" world with dynamic weather and a day-night cycle, as well as a customizable arsenal with various weapon modules. The game supports up to three-player co-op, though it appears to lack full online multiplayer functionality.

The Abyss Break is set to release in 2026.
