The premiere of Avatar: Fire and Ash is expected this December, but as director James Cameron recently revealed, some people have already had the chance to see the film. According to him, the initial reactions have been positive.

The director stated that Avatar: Fire and Ash is currently in the final stages of post-production and has even been shown to a select few in a closed screening.

I've shown it to a few selected people and the feedback has been it's definitely the most emotional and maybe the best of the three so far. We'll find out, you know, but I feel pretty good about it. And the work is exceptional from the actors. It's pretty heart-wrenching in a good way.

Preliminary reports suggest the budget for the third installment is $250 million. As a reminder, the previous two films have both made it onto the list of the highest-grossing movies in history: the 2009 Avatar grossed $2.9 billion, while Avatar: The Way of Water brought in $2.3 billion.
