NVIDIA is gearing up to redefine the budget gaming GPU segment with its new GeForce RTX 5050 and RTX 5060 lineup. According to insider leaks, the cards — targeting cost-conscious gamers — will hit shelves in April 2025, taking aim at competitors like Intel’s Arc B580 and AMD’s entry-tier offerings.

The base RTX 5050 is rumored to pack 8GB of memory with a 135-145W TDP, notably 10W lower than its higher-tier sibling, the RTX 5060. Pricing is expected to start at $199, climbing to $249, positioning it as one of the most budget-friendly ray-tracing-capable GPUs available. Meanwhile, the RTX 5060 will slot into the $299 range, striking a balance between performance and value.

Notably, NVIDIA may release the RTX 5050 in both standard and Ti variants, though specifics on differences remain under wraps. This strategy likely aims to cater to a broader audience, letting users choose between entry-level and enhanced configurations.

The RTX 5050’s key rival, Intel’s Arc B580, boasts 12GB of memory. However, analysts point out that NVIDIA is prioritizing architectural optimization and power efficiency over raw VRAM. Team Green also bets on its edge in DLSS and ray-tracing tech, which could outweigh the memory deficit for many gamers.

NVIDIA’s release roadmap appears packed:

  • RTX 5060 Ti 8GB — Early April;
  • RTX 5060 8GB — Mid-April;
  • RTX 5050 — Late April.

Per leaker MEGAsizeGPU, an official reveal is expected within 10 days, though retail availability won’t follow until next month. If specs hold true, these GPUs could empower gamers to build entry-level rigs without breaking the bank. The big question now: Will rivals respond with price cuts or accelerated launches of their own?
