Players Conquer Split Fiction's Toughest Challenge — Their Reward? A Sneak Peek at Hazelight's Next Game

After much struggle, Split Fiction players have finally beaten the game’s ultimate challenge—one so difficult that, before launch, only a handful of Hazelight Studios employees had managed to complete it. The challenge, called Laser Hell, can be activated in the Isolation mode by entering a secret code on a panel.
Laser Hell is a grueling obstacle course where players must dodge lasers to survive. Those who complete it are greeted by a special in-game room featuring a screen with Josef Fares himself. The It Takes Two director congratulates the victors and promises that the first winners will be invited to visit Hazelight Studios and get an exclusive look at the developer’s next game.
Fares later confirmed that the first players to beat the challenge were users sharkOvO and E1uM4y, with footage of their run surfacing on the Chinese platform Bilibili.
As for what Hazelight’s next project entails, details remain under wraps. However, Fares has previously hinted that the studio might explore a fully single-player experience in the future.
