12 orbits is an arcade party game built around local competition for two to twelve players on a single device. Each player uses one button, and rounds last about five minutes.

The game has four modes, including two team-based ones. In Arena, players fill the field with spheres of their color while dodging opponents’ spheres; in Multiball, they send balls into exploding goals; and in Trails, they collect spheres to lengthen their trail and obstruct rivals. In team mode Blizzard, players fend off a shower of spheres and send them back at the opposing side.
