A fantasy role-playing game in the tradition of old-school RPGs, AntharioN combines tactical turn-based combat with exploration across the open continent of Antharion. The player creates a party of four, choosing from seven races, nine classes, and fifteen skills, then travels through five provinces with distinct environments, histories, and cultures.
The party fights in dungeons and can search the open world for hidden passages, read books, brew potions, and break into homes. Other activities include pickpocketing, sailing to unexplored islands, and persuading non-player characters. The story is open-ended, and the player's choices affect the surrounding world; the game allows for different approaches to its challenges.
