This arcade shooter follows kittens mining milk beneath the ocean and defending their operation from mechanical sea creatures. In Aqua Kitty, the player pilots a submarine equipped with two weapons; the secondary weapon recharges, so its use must be managed. The game can be played solo or in local two-player co-op.

The campaign features levels arranged along branching routes, while different sea depths affect gameplay and consecutive enemy kills build a score combo. Weapon upgrades are earned through progression in Normal and Easy modes; in Arcade mode, power-ups are purchased from a shop and help the player survive. The game also includes an endless mode and leaderboards.
