Aurora Dusk: Steam Age is a collaborative sandbox with strategy, RPG, and survival elements, in which a community develops its settlement from prehistory to the industrial age. Players create and customise characters, gather and grow resources, build workshops to make equipment, and construct fortifications and recruit troops to defend the town.
Characters carry over between sessions, gain experience, and unlock abilities; players can control several characters and switch them to automatic mode. The game features an adventure mode with missions, battles between villages, and survival against waves of monsters. Play is available cooperatively or competitively, online or over a local network.
