Avernum 4 is a fantasy role-playing game set in an enormous underground nation, where outcasts, rogues, and fortune-seekers struggle to survive in monster-infested darkness. It opens the Great Trials Trilogy, a story about the land’s struggle against powerful forces seeking to destroy it.
Players explore a vast world from an isometric perspective and fight in turn-based battles. Along the way, they encounter numerous characters and side quests, while traps, tricks, and treasure lie hidden throughout the underground realm.
