This multiplayer first-person shooter is set during the American War of Independence, with the British Army and its Native American allies fighting the United States Continental Army and the French Expeditionary Force. In Battle Grounds III, players choose a side and a soldier role, from infantry and officers to jägers, Iroquois warriors and French grenadiers, then fight with firearms and in close-quarters combat.
The arsenal includes 26 types of weapons, such as muskets, rifles, grenades and swords, and uniforms can be customized. Battles involve capturing objectives or holding a fort, while line formations can also be used for roleplay. Matches take place across 11 remade classic maps and 8 new maps, with up to 80 players at once; AI-controlled bots can also fill the battlefield.
