This arcade combat racer puts armed cars on the track, where weapons and pickups help drivers gain an edge over their rivals. The single-player career spans more than 120 events: winning races unlocks cars, tracks and weapons, while three racing tiers bring higher speeds and more powerful weaponry.

Battle Riders features six racing modes, including Duel, Survival, Elimination and Time Trial, alongside separate challenges. Seven cars can be customized in appearance and performance, and equipped with five weapon types; credits earned by wrecking opponents can be spent on upgrades and weapons. Tracks also contain ammunition, boost and health pickups, and each of the nine tracks across three environments has a reversed version.
