Blinding Dark is a first-person adventure horror game in which the protagonist wakes in what appears to be a mansion, with no memory of who they are or how they got there. As they explore its dark rooms, they collect ancient relics and other items, solve puzzles, and gradually uncover their past and the lore of the game’s world.

Survival means fighting demons, monsters, and spirits while learning their strengths and weaknesses. Ammunition and ways to restore health are scarce, and death has serious consequences, making careful exploration and resource management as important as combat. The story unfolds across multiple acts, and the game also features challenging platforming sections.
