CaesarIA is an economic city-building strategy set in ancient Rome and based on Caesar III. The player plans the town, develops extraction and production, and manages taxes, trade, public health, and unemployment. When goods are scarce, they can be obtained through trade with neighboring towns.
The placement of buildings and services affects the convenience and safety of districts, while workers provide residents with essential services. The emperor demands goods and gifts, so maintaining his favor is important; nearby towns also compete in trade. Five gods influence the city: worship can increase harvests, aid merchants, fill storehouses, protect the town, or improve its residents’ mood.
