A third-person action game inspired by Dante Alighieri’s Divine Comedy follows Dante’s descent into Hell to rescue Beatrice. After returning home to find her murdered, he discovers that Lucifer has taken her soul to the underworld; the journey also forces Dante to confront his own demons and seek redemption.
Dante travels through nine circles of Hell, from Limbo and Lust to Fraud and Treachery, fighting demons, monsters and bosses. His weapons are a scythe taken from Death and the Holy Cross given to him by Beatrice. The cross helps him collect souls and spells from defeated creatures, while an upgrade system lets him develop his abilities. Certain beasts can also be tamed and turned against Hell.
