After a solar flare, the player must survive in an open world threatened by both the living and the undead. They explore distinct locations, search for loot and resources, hunt animals, and fight predators, bandits, and hordes of the undead.
Wood and special minerals can be gathered to craft tools and build structures. The player constructs a base and defends it with guns and traps while competing for resources.
