This vertical arcade shooter places the player amid dense bullet patterns, demanding careful dodging while building a score through sustained attacks. Dodonpachi Dai-Ou-Jou offers ship types A and B paired with one of three Elemental Dolls—Shotia, Leinyan, or EXY—each with a distinct character. Four difficulty levels accommodate players of different skill levels.
Scoring relies on the combo system, enhanced by the Hyper system. Practice mode lets players work on their runs, while leaderboards are divided by ship type and Elemental Doll.
