This top-down fantasy action RPG follows an unnamed hero travelling across seven worlds to defeat dragons, rescue Princess Kirstie and restore the power of the dragonstones. Along the way, the hero explores new areas and encounters characters who go about their lives independently of the player.
Progress involves combat, puzzles and interaction with the inhabitants of each world. Characters may ask the hero to retrieve a particular object so they can complete a task, opening up further areas to explore. Traps and puzzles require both figuring out what needs to be done and finding a way to do it.
