A space action RPG in which a captain from the Drox Operative guild works among rival alien races. Long after the Drox vanished, their guild still takes contracts from whoever can pay. The player chooses a side in a galactic struggle, where empires expand through diplomacy, technology, and war, and carries out important tasks for them.

Each playthrough features a different sector, with its own races, quests, ship components, and enemies. The player explores space, fights hostile starships, and assembles a vessel by equipping it with components and crew. Cooperative multiplayer lets players venture through the galaxy together.
