A fantasy real-time strategy game about a dungeon lord building an underground army at the behest of the demon known as the Dark Mother. The player digs through layered terrain, lays out rooms freely, gathers resources and sets up production chains to make furniture, weapons and armour. Minions need food, drink, rest and training, so tending to their needs is part of preparing for battle.
The dungeon must be defended from monsters and crusaders with fortifications and traps. Once the army is ready, it can raid human settlements on the surface, with magic spells providing further options in combat. Worlds are randomly generated, while the campaign introduces the game's systems as it progresses.
