FIFA Soccer 09 — Some of the changes that first affected the FIFA series were already tested in the game UEFA Euro 2008 from Electronic Arts. It was there that the developers first added weather conditions to the game, which really affect the course of the match: the ball can unexpectedly get stuck in a puddle, and it is more difficult for a football player to run on a wet lawn. FIFA 09 also has a dynamic change of time of day: a match can start in the evening, at sunset, and continue at night, under artificial lighting.
