A flight simulator centered on the F-14 Tomcat and carrier-based operations with the U.S. Navy. The pilot begins with training at Oceania Naval Air Station in Virginia, then takes on missions in the Arctic waters of Norway or the southern Mediterranean off the coast of Libya.

Players handle catapult launches, air-to-air combat and landings on a pitching carrier deck. As flight leader, the pilot can issue tactical commands to a wingman, while missions also require coordination with other modern naval aircraft. Hostile aircraft include the Su-27, MiG-31 and the bombers known as Bears, Badgers and Backfires.
