Frozen Bubble is an arcade puzzle game in which a penguin clears the playfield by shooting colored bubbles. The player aims a cannon and matches bubbles into groups of two or more of the same color, making them disappear. The goal is to remove every bubble before they reach the bottom of the screen; bubbles gradually move down, and a lost level can be restarted.
The game includes a 100-level campaign and a level editor. Alongside solo play, Frozen Bubble supports multiplayer over a local network or the internet, as well as split-screen matches on one computer. Network play also offers a chain-reaction mode, where fallen bubbles bounce back up and can form further groups.
