Geneforge 3 is a fantasy role-playing adventure and the third chapter of the Geneforge Saga, set in unfamiliar, hostile lands. The player explores the world, chooses a side in its conflict, and creates a horde of mutant monsters that obeys their commands.

Several factions, each with its own goals, can receive the player's help or become its adversaries. Enemies can be fought, avoided through stealth, or dealt with through diplomacy. Choices of faction and tactics shape the story and lead to different endings, while replaying allows for another approach.
