This turn-based fantasy role-playing game takes place in a vast world where the protagonist can create an army of lethal creatures. Enemies patrol areas, stalk the protagonist, and call for help.

The story’s course depends on the player’s choices: the protagonist can fight the evil overlord or join him, help the peasants or torment them. The player can also act as a bold hero or simply try to escape, shaping the adventure through these decisions. Geneforge is the first game in a five-part saga.
