Gradius V is an arcade shooter in which the Vic Viper battles the Bacterian forces and sets out to destroy their core. Players fight through seven stages of classic series-style action, presented with 3D graphics.
A new Option Controls system adds tactical choices to combat. The stages combine the familiar Gradius formula with new features.
