Hacker Evolution Duality is a hacking simulation game about programmer Brian Spencer. It begins in the early days of his career, then moves into the future, where an artificial intelligence he created has gone out of control. Brian must stop it and regain control of a large company.

Players break into computers using a range of tools, bypass security systems and enter buildings to steal data. Money can be obtained to fund objectives, upgrade hardware or bribe other hackers; traps can also be used to frame or kill opponents. The single-player mode follows the story, while the open-world mode pits the player against AI-controlled hackers in an ongoing death match.
