This turn-based roguelike takes place in a pixelated fantasy world falling apart at the seams. At the request of an old man, the hero sets out to rid the land of evil monsters, travelling with a pet and encountering enemies, allies, and bosses along the way. A suspiciously talkative narrator comments on the journey.
Players choose from a range of randomized characters before setting out. Maps and settings are procedurally generated, and combat emphasizes movement and strategy. The hero can collect items, craft weapons and armor, and gain new quirks at the end of each level. Characters can die permanently, with the game commemorating those who fall.
