Hardwood Hearts is a card game based on classic Hearts, in which players aim to take as few penalty points as possible, though they can try to capture every point and pass them to their opponents instead. Rule variants include Cutthroat, four-player partnership play, and Spot Hearts, where hearts are worth their face values and the queen of spades scores 50 points. In Spot Hearts, capturing all the points awards opponents 150 points.
Players can customize the table’s appearance with different backgrounds, cards, and tables. They can also send one another Fooms—visual reactions such as a kiss, fireball, or lightning bolt—that do not affect gameplay.
