This arcade action game blends platforming and puzzle elements as an ox-headed robot sets out to outwit an all-seeing eye. Each level involves crossing tiles and flipping them to advance without jumping while the eye is watching, or the robot will be destroyed. Once across, the robot races through a tube and shoots enemy shapes, while arena stages pit it against waves of lethal foes.
Jeff Minter’s version of I, Robot features 55 levels with varied challenges and bonus tube-shooter stages between levels. Its 3D presentation uses vivid colors and geometric shapes, while procedural music builds as the score rises. An ungame mode lets players interact with the game’s sights and sounds outside the usual arcade action, and online leaderboards track high scores.
