This tactical sci-fi first-person shooter is set in the early 22nd century, when the discovery of an inexhaustible energy source has enabled humanity to explore the Solar System. The player takes the role of a special forces soldier training to join the Interstellar Marines, a unit tasked with defending humanity from threats beyond the known universe. Training takes place at a secret military facility under the supervision of the AI SARA.
Single-player and co-op missions pit players against AI opponents that do not follow scripted routines. Dynamic environmental effects shape combat, while the training exercises use artificial weather and advanced combat robots. Wargames is a separate combat arena spanning nine interconnected zones and accommodating up to 64 players.
