Set in post-war Japan, this detective visual novel follows a private investigator handling several connected cases, including a series of murders targeting young girls. Among the clients are a mysterious girl seeking her “true self,” a school vice principal searching for missing students, and the protagonist’s former police partner.

Each day, the investigator can visit two locations to search for clues or question people connected to the cases. Information gathered is added to a notebook, where evidence can be compared and deductions made; time is limited before the murderer strikes again. The story features more than 30 characters with complex relationships, and some episodes are told from the perspective of the murderer or a victim.
