Mad Riders — Players control all-terrain vehicles (ATVs) and race other ATVs across a series of tracks. Players can collect coins placed along tracks to activate short-term boosts, and blue tokens that allow temporary access to power-ups. After going down the ramp, players can perform tricks, which also provide the opportunity to activate a brief boost. Obstacles are placed both on the ground and in the air.

The game features 45 tracks that can be played in 5 different modes, including a time trial mode and a mode where players try to score as many points as possible by performing stunts. Racing can be done individually or as part of longer tournaments. Players are given experience points for both completing races and performing stunts, which are used to unlock new vehicles and color schemes.
