Mr. Dreamer is an arcade runner about Poncho and his sidekick, Cid, trying to escape the routine of working for Broccoli Co. Their journey takes them through eight digitally painted worlds, where they run along a single-line track and collect candies to keep the dream alive.
By tapping the screen, the player flips the characters to the other side of the track and must avoid running upside down or hitting hazards. Each world has a trophy to earn, while outfits, trophies, and achievements provide additional goals.
