Players design and refit warships before taking them into real-time naval battles. For each mission, ships can be equipped with weapons, propulsion, aircraft, and defensive systems; players can also invest in technology, develop weapons, or acquire parts. Alternatively, the design process can be skipped in favor of ships based on real naval craft.
Combat involves engaging surface vessels and aircraft, destroying communications garrisons, and evading anti-ship missiles. Missions take place at different times of day and in changing weather, including fog and storms. Integrated combat systems provide situational awareness and access to the ship’s weapons.
