This arcade basketball game centers on exaggerated dunks and two-on-two matches. NBA Jam features NBA teams and stars, along with legendary players from the classic arcade era and hidden players that can be unlocked. Gameplay also includes unlockable cheats.

Play Now lets players pick a team and jump straight into a match. In Classic Campaign, the goal is to defeat the other teams and win the championship, unlocking additional players and cheats along the way. Controls use either a directional pad or gestures, and commentator Tim Kitzrow delivers classic and newly recorded lines.
