This investigative simulation is set in a modern intelligence agency amid the growth of mass surveillance. Working for the Department of Liberty, the player examines people’s digital traces and decides whether they pose a threat. Assignments focus on investigating crimes: evidence must be assessed, suspects judged guilty or innocent, and decisions made about how to deal with them.
Advancement raises the player’s clearance level, granting access to increasingly detailed information, from browsing history to geolocation and psychological analysis. Choices affect suspects’ fates and the outcomes of assignments. The player can help underground groups leak information to the media, use the agency’s powers for personal gain, or covertly undermine the Department from within.
