This hockey simulator offers classic controls alongside hybrid settings for players with different levels of experience. On the ice, players can perform superstar moves, block shots, handle the puck with the stick, and collide after being hit by the puck; an updated skating system and new animations add detail to the gameplay. Matches feature pre-game introductions, post-game replays and summaries, with commentary by Randy Hahn and Drew Remenda of the San Jose Sharks.
