This fantasy Japanese role-playing game follows Setsuna, chosen by the island’s inhabitants as a sacrifice to appease a fiend. Tradition calls for a sacrifice once every ten years, but the fiend grows violent ahead of schedule. Gifted with powers of enchantment, Setsuna travels with her escorts to a distant land where the ceremony is to take place.
The story centers on the sacrifice Setsuna must make to save the people of her land. Its battle system is inspired by Chrono Trigger, while the character designs and varied locations evoke classic role-playing games.
