Project Temporality is a third-person action-puzzle adventure built around manipulating time. The player can rewind events and create time clones that repeat recorded actions across parallel timelines. This lets the protagonist help themselves and carry out tasks that require several actions at once.
Puzzles involve lasers, mirrors, force fields, trap doors, platforms, and keys. Changes to the game world affect the outcome of the clones’ actions, while objects inside temporality fields are unaffected by time manipulation. Combining these rules makes it possible to create paradox-based puzzles; the world can also be explored to learn about its inhabitants.
