Race After 1977 is a racing game set in the aftermath of a nuclear catastrophe, with courses winding through devastated wastelands and ruins. Players drive one of nine cars assembled from salvaged parts, each with distinct physical properties that affect how it handles. Tracks cross dusty and icy terrain, dam walls and uneven ground, and allow racers to drive along walls and jump over obstacles.
Races pit players against aggressive wasteland drivers. Tournaments unlock new cars and tracks, while achievements and player levels track progress. Several control schemes are available.
