Rhythm Destruction combines rhythm gameplay with shoot 'em up action. Enemies and objects are destroyed by pressing keys in time with the music, while the player maneuvers through ten handcrafted stages filled with obstacles, traps, and bullets.
Each stage ends with a distinct boss encounter. Progress depends on accurate timing and maneuvering, and an optional Casual Mode makes the gameplay more accessible. The soundtrack features music by Oscillator X and other artists.
