Sethian is a science-fiction puzzle game about an archaeologist investigating the disappearance of a planet’s inhabitants centuries ago. The only possible source of answers is an abandoned computer that operates solely in the planet’s lost language.
The player studies a fictional language with its own grammar and vocabulary, piecing together its rules and words to interpret the computer’s records and uncover the vanished civilization’s mysteries. A handwritten journal and dictionary aid the investigation, alongside material about the world’s literature and history. Understanding the language and the world affects which endings become available.
