This third-person action-adventure based on the Shadow Man comic book series follows Michael LeRoi, a voodoo warrior who protects the world of the living from threats crossing over from the land of the dead. His adversary is Legion, who plans to gather the Dark Souls of damned warriors and use them to create an immortal army.

The game combines 3D exploration with metroidvania elements. Michael travels between the two worlds and searches for Dark Souls; a teddy bear belonging to his dead brother serves as a link between them. His supernatural powers do not work during the day in the world of the living, a constraint that matters as he pursues the Five, a group of serial killers recruited by Legion.
