This 2D side-scrolling action platformer follows Shank, a former mob hitman drawn back into a fight when people close to him are threatened. He uses an arsenal of pistols, shotguns, automatic weapons, chainsaws, machetes, grenades and other weapons to protect them.

Combat revolves around switching weapons, chaining attacks and using counter moves to turn enemies’ weapons against them. The surroundings can also be used in fights: ceilings can be brought down, barrels exploded and crates hurled. Alongside the campaign, a two-player co-op survival mode pits a team against successive waves of enemies, while exploring levels can uncover in-game unlockables.
