Shot Online is an online golf simulator that combines realistic course play with role-playing progression and community interaction. Its physics engine models how the ball moves across course terrain, while motion capture from a PGA golfer was used to reproduce swings, putting and other golf shots.
Players practise, compete against golfers of different skill levels and develop their characters by improving their abilities and gaining levels. Quests and item trading add further community activities, and items include pieces drawn from golf history. Matches can also be watched in gallery mode, with broadcast-style presentation and multiple camera angles.
